The Research group of Archer Daniels Midland Co. is actively seeking a colleague with the following qualifications. This position will work across all of ADM’s business units and product lines to support the development of plant-based proteins ingredients for the food industry The Protein Scientist will work as part of the cross functional team on the development of new protein ingredients & solutions in the EMEA region. This work will include development of the processes for manufacturing current and future protein ingredients & solutions as well as the characterization and understanding of the physical, compositional, nutritional and functional properties of these proteins. The Protein Scientist will be responsible for working closely with the Europoort operational, quality and food applications groups in providing them with the necessary knowledge to optimize protein solutions and to apply them to the final food and beverages. This work includes leading internal and external trials for protein ingredients and solution scale up and complete structure-function evaluations. This position will also entail working closely with the business groups, sales staff and customers to understand the functional properties and nutritional characteristics of newly developed proteins ingredients & solutions and support customer’s. The position would require approximately 10-15% travel and will be based in ADM Europoort, Rotterdam NL.
